For anyone who is thinking of changing how they get around, have you ever thought about buying a bike from Direct Bikes?

Bikes come in all shapes and sizes, just like cars. If you choose to make the wise investment of buying into a motorbike, though, you are buying something totally suited to your own style. Unlike cars, it’s much easier to find a motorbike that is suited to who you are and what you like. For example, does the idea of going too fast when you are on a motorbike put you off the idea of owning one in the first place?

That’s why you should turn your attention to new 50cc motorbikes from our store. At Direct Bikes, our bikes start at just 50cc: some of the best value you’ll find on the market today!

Motorbikes at 50cc are fun, agile, and swift. Crucially, though, they can give you the opportunity to get used to bike driving. You should definitely look to try one out if you are fascinated by the idea of owning a bike.

For most, the humble 50cc is just enough to help you get started on your journey into biking. And make no mistake, it’s a lot of fun if you give yourself the time to master the art of riding!

What is a 50cc motorbike?

Technically, it’s not a bike. It’s a moped. Anything up to the speed of 50cc is a moped; anything beyond that is a scooter or a bike. Scooters are almost certainly the ideal choice for anyone who would like to drive a bike without having the pressure of riding a ‘real’ bike. At 125cc and above, you are hitting speeds of well in excess of 50mph – usually something reaching 60 to 70mph!

On a 50cc motorbike from Direct Bikes, though, you are capped at speeds of 30mph. That is just enough to help you get around locally, but not enough to make you feel as if you are never in control. The fact that most little 50cc motorbikes use Twist and Go controls means that you don’t need to worry about using things like gears, though.

That is why we think you should always look to pick up a 50cc motorbike as your introduction to driving. Once you get used to it, you will feel much more comfortable on the roads. What used to be a challenging or frustrating drive for you can soon become so much easier to handle. That’s why so many people enjoy riding 50ccs!

With the ease of making a purchase through our site, too, it’s so easy to buy a bike. And with our prices starting at just £959, too, you can buy a brand new 50cc motorbike without spending too much. By using Direct Bikes, you get a great value deal and a quality bike you can ride for many years. Does that not sound like a good deal?

When can I drive a 50cc motorbike?

You should first be allowed to get on the seat of a 50cc motorbike when you hit the age of 16. To do that, you must go and pass your Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) exam. This is a written and theoretical exam and done successfully should see you pass in just a single day. They are great tests that give you all of the knowledge and backing that you need to make sure you can drive carefully and comfortably.

It’s a big reason why we always suggest that you should look to drive a 50cc motorbike as and when you can. You can learn to drive from a young age, and this gives you a 2-year spell with your CBT to determine how much you like driving. It will let you drive around locally, though you cannot go on a motorway with just a CBT. Nor can you take a passenger. With new 50cc motorbikes from Direct Bikes, you can soon buy a bike and get riding without any stress.

At the age of 17, though, you could go and get your full bike driving license. So long as you have your CBT and your provisional bike driving license, though, you could start as young as 16. Keep that in mind!

Should I buy a new 50cc motorbike?

Yes, we would suggest so. At Direct Bikes, you could buy a brand new bike for around £999. Our models are varied and diverse, making it easy to pick out a new 50cc motorbike with ease.

This would allow you to make sure you can get a brand new riding vehicle that is totally suited to what you are doing. This will help you to get around and see things from your bike without having to worry about it breaking down or being damaged.
